Veterans Day will be observed on Monday, November 11th. All elementary schools in the Archdiocese of Las Vegas will be closed. The purpose of Veterans Day is to:
- Thank veterans: Express gratitude to living veterans for their service and contributions to national security
- Acknowledge sacrifice: Recognize that all who served, not just those who died, have sacrificed and done their duty
- Encourage peace: Encourage Americans to commit to the cause of peace
