Good Tickets Awarded to Saint Anne Students

The National Junior Honor Society at Saint Anne is comprised of 7th and 8th graders who exhibit exemplary skills in leadership, service, citizenship, academics, and character.  NJHS conducted a fundraiser on October 1st.  They asked Saint Anne students to make a minimum donation of one dollar to the Las Vegas Metro Police Department Foundation and wear a Vegas Strong shirt.

The foundation provides funding for advanced officer and reality-based training, post 10/1 trauma counseling for officers and other First Responders, technology and equipment for LVMPD, community safety programs, scholarships for the children of officers and a scholarship fund for the children of Officer Charleston Hartfield.  The school raised $500.

With an enrollment of 214 students, this effort was something worth recognizing. NJHS invited representatives from LVMPD to Saint Anne. The whole school participated in the assembly and cheers erupted when the check was presented to two officers. In return the LVMPD honored the NJHS students by awarding them with a Good Ticket.  Officers can receive a Good Ticket or give them out civilians who are seen doing something positive in the community.
